From an intricately executed Spanish theme to the brilliant blue pools, from the illuminating fire light to the blissful state of relaxation – the lyrical essence of Longfellow’s “Spanish Serenade” comes alive on the Tampa waterfront in Fireside Serenade.
Inspired by a desire to extend the Spanish sensibilities and flow from the client’s existing home, Fireside Serenade – an luxury outdoor living design by Ryan Hughes Design – was also purposefully created to accommodate charity functions as much as family gatherings. Within the space, all elements were designed and placed based on intimate or large entertainment venues and ample circulation space.
The unique Mediterranean profiles found in the home were utilized in the outdoor design’s centerpiece pool and adjacent spillover spa. Flowing outward from dual columned arches at the rear of the home, the outdoor living area begins with a grand cushioned swing. While relaxing under this central portico, guests can look out to the open dining area and across the length of the Ryan Hughes designed custom pool. From side to side, outdoor rooms are designed for conversation, dining, lounging or gathering within the tree-lined spaces of Fireside Serenade. The luxury outdoor kitchen pavilion offers areas for grilling and refreshments with Fire Magic appliances and an Al Fresco pizza oven. A relaxing television lounge sits nearby with ample designer casual furnishings. The areas are crafted with true Spanish flair from colors to columns or arches to brick accented grid surfaces crafted to mirror the brick used on the façade of the home.
Opposite the kitchen pavilion and across the pool width is a large step-down fire lounge with a linear American Fireglass firepit. Taking advantage of the exterior’s changes in elevation, this sunken fireside conversation hub is outfitted with custom designed cushioned benches and casual furnishings. A professional outdoor lighting plan creates the soothing ambiance for guests while the unique patio surfaces throughout the multiple levels of outdoor living space are designed for dining, dancing or simply taking in the stars.
