Bronze Award 2023: Geometric.
The water-side Marquee project was inspired by classic looks and a desire by the client to create a grand outdoor space for family gatherings to parties and events. Custom features were created from the front fountain entry to the magical and symmetrically-balanced backyard surrounding a massive all-glass tile pool. Outside of the pool is a pergola covered outdoor fire lounge with curated outdoor furnishings. Situated to the opposite end is an outdoor dining pavilion and entertainment lounge area. In the sunken outdoor kitchen is a marble waterfall covered island surrounded by state-of-the-art outdoor appliances as well as a poolside bar seating area. The adjacent outdoor lounge is crowned by an ipe ceiling and a tile-covered entertainment wall with a gigantic flat screen outdoor tv and outdoor furnishings.
The pool is surrounded by tile surfaces accented with illuminated stepping stones and turf and tile pattered areas, all providing ample space for relaxation and entertainment including the pools’ sun shelf with loungers. The pool extends from the outdoor kitchen-side swim up bar area to an infinity raised spa cladded all in glass tile and ends at an elegant tiled entry stair design. Landscaping and planter areas are featured in the extra outdoor space based on classic symmetry. After dark, outdoor lighting shines throughout the space accenting structural as well as natural features.
