“The world is your oyster… find your Pearl.”
One Tampa, Florida family has found theirs in a slender, yet stunning outdoor space designed and constructed by the Ryan Hughes Design Build Team.
Across over 1,400 square feet dressed in Tahitian Pearl Marble and custom designed outdoor elements, the Modern Pearl project truly glistens with luxury and elegance. The $200,000 project adorned in glass tile and custom architecture, tropical landscapes and statement seating was designed within an economy of space but an abundance of opulence. From the silky surfaces to the glistening azure blue pool, this bespoke retreat embraces true luxury.
The Tahitian Pearl Marble surface, encompassing nearly 1,000 square feet of the space, was designed to coordinate with the elegant black and white theme throughout. Breaking the contrasting theme is the vibrant blue of the glass tiled designer pool, spa and sun shelf equating to the remaining 475 square feet.
Beginning at one end of the engineered outdoor design is a water-wall feature adorned by matte black and white tile presented in an elegant striped display. Out of the center of the wall comes forth a water feature flowing into the raised spa. Surrounding this element are Grand Effect helix torches standing guard over the designer water feature. Each sit atop Pearl Marble cladded walls. Hundreds of individual Vidrepur - Titanium tile completely covers the raised spill-over spa.
Stepping stone pavers provide an elegant walkway adjacent to the strong angles of the spa. A contrast is created between the white of the paver surfaces and the brilliant blue of the tile and the waters that flow below.
Extending the full length of this outdoor living space are Travelers Palm and Adonidia palm trees creating a backdrop of green as well as offering privacy for those lounging around the pool. Offering comfort and relaxation poolside are a quartet of Brown Jordan’s unique rope designed Oscar lounge chairs with Kantan aluminum stacking stools.
At the opposite end of the pool, a glass-tiled sun shelf rises from the waters featuring Ledge Loungers chaise lounges with canopies. The matte white of the contemporary lounges perfectly complements the Tahitian Pearl Marble pavers that surrounded the shelf.
Following in the outdoor design’s black and white theme, a custom designed pergola by Ryan Hughes Design Build delivers a matte black architectural focal point. A comfy sectional sofa from the Vertice Collection by Castelle offers luxurious lounging under the pergola with the black and white theme continuing on the frames and striped pillows. This seating surrounds another impressive custom-built feature. A linear fire pit is situated under the pergola and cladded with the matte black and white tiles and topped with the Tahitian Pearl Marble. From this luxurious outdoor room, a view of the entire outdoor space is captured.
The totality of this slender outdoor space includes amazing custom features, a designer color scheme and engineered water elements. Finding the “pearl” within this gem of an outdoor space is easily accomplished. Dive in.
