Faucet Falls

Descriptions

A multi-level retreat designed around serenity, seclusion, and a single unforgettable centerpiece describes the Faucet Falls project by award winning outdoor living designers, Ryan Hughes Design. Set within a 10,800-square-foot Winter Park estate, Faucet Falls comprises 3,500 square feet of outdoor living space, where natural elevation changes were embraced rather than hidden, carved into a series of terraces that create privacy, calm, and a true sense of escape from the world beyond.

The defining moment of the project is a gravity-defying water spigot that appears to float in midair as it pours endlessly into the pool below. Standing 10 feet wide by 9 feet tall, the feature is built around a 17-foot acrylic tube by Aquatic Glazing, two feet in diameter and engineered to pull water up through its core before cascading down the outside. The sculptural spigot was fabricated by Nassal, with fountain components by Crystal Fountains, pump engineering by Speck, and structural engineering by Dave Peterson. At the center of the outdoor space is a near 1,020-square-foot pool finished in Pebble Tech and clad throughout in 1×1 inch Vidrepure glass tile, with a perimeter overflow spa featuring custom jet placement and an all-glass-tile interior. A natural rock grotto rises alongside the water, while a sunken fire pit set with American fire glass anchors the gathering space.

Within the home, a covered sanctuary delivers the calm the client envisioned, where a towering textured stone waterfall wall meets a glass-walled koi pool and a serene Buddha fountain. An outdoor kitchen by Fire Magic, deep seating by Mamagreen and Couture Jardin, Elaine Smith pillows, in-pool loungers by Ledge Lounger, Tuuci shade, and a custom RHDB pergola complete the living areas.

As day turns into night, Faucet Falls takes on a different feel through outdoor illumination by PAL Lighting and FX Lighting. Pool lighting, up lights, and exterior smart lighting highlight the surrounding palms, grotto, and lush landscaping while providing a safe and inviting space to entertain. Designer surfaces flow from turf to porcelain pool deck pavers, Ipe and composite decking to marble lanai pavers and pre-cast concrete stepping pads, with Vistafolia greenery woven throughout to soften the architecture and complete an outdoor plan built equally for tranquility and spectacle.
