2025 Luxury Pools and Outdoor Living, Oasis Awards
Pool and Hot Tub Alliance (PHTA) 2025 International Awards of Excellence Bronze Winner, Bronze Award 2025: Geometric
Encompassing multiple levels of extreme luxury, Modern American by Ryan Hughes Design was inspired by a desire for a timeless design that was fit for hosting events and activities for family and guests of all ages. This goal was delivered in an outdoor space built with precise craftsmanship and a design plan with entertaining destinations in every direction.
Created for a renowned restaurateur’s family, interest and inventiveness were presented from a raised state- of-the-art outdoor kitchen pavilion to the tip of a large all-glass tile pool and spa. With the use of a clean line of sight design foundation, the Modern American project draws the homeowners and their guests from inside the home directly to an inventive and inclusive outdoor space. Creativity is on display in the all-glass tile pool and spa as well as the comprehensive outdoor illumination plan. Landscape lighting to architectural or step and pathway illumination are shining examples of the creativity and expertise built into this project. All areas collaborate through functionality as well as cohesive surfaces and a modern design aesthetic. Meticulously appointed, areas for lounging, dining, cooking and sport activities including golf and pickleball were integrated into one fresh and delicious outdoor entertainment space. As with most Ryan Hughes Design projects, the Modern American outdoor living project also was a part of a larger estate design and build.
